Fabulous four rating for Talland
Talland Bay Hotel in Cornwall has added a fourth star to its AA rating following the latest anonymous inspection from the motoring organisation’s world renowned hotel inspection and rating scheme.
The extra star puts this privately owned, tucked away Porthallow hotel even more firmly on the map as a destination to seek out for top-notch nosh and accommodation.
Away from the busy tourist honey traps, with a Mediterreanesque clifftop vista the hotel is nestled between Polperro and Looe, just yards from the South West Coastal Path and the beach – a smugglers cove in years gone by.
Under new management, the 23 room luxury boutique hotel was awarded the four stars rating following a scrupulous inspection by the AA, which acknowledged the exceptional quality and outstanding levels of hospitality and customer service to complement the amazing location.
The AA hotel inspector is not the only one to be impressed. As well as a stream of glowing TripAdvisor reviews from enthusiastic guests, several celebrity visitors have fallen for Talland Bay’s charms, among them Chris Evans and Dame Judi Dench. Retail guru and TV personality Mary Portas, whose mission is improving customer service on the high street observed, “Talland Bay Hotel is a crazy, fabulous, uplifting experience, with food and service to match. It’s my haven when in Cornwall.”
